ADVENTURE CAVE CAMP is a unique summer day camp experience at SIMS CAVE PARK just 20 minutes North of Birmingham on I-65 in Smoke Rise, AL.
Every day is filled with excitement as we tour the natural world below ground. Each day campers will learn about safety inside & outside of the cave. We will use ropes to teach basic and advanced knots as well as climbing techniques. Come learn about the wonders & wildlife of our ecosystem below while participating in daily conservation projects at the park. Meet our local bat population & hunt for one of our colorful salamanders. You’ll have the opportunity to meet experienced cavers & learn the rich local history of the area. One of our favorite days is when we take a break from the cave to hike and ride ziplines! Our final day is the most challenging as we get down and dirty on our infamous WILD CAVE ADVENTURE TOUR!
*ages 8 and up * space is limited *lunches are not provided *long pants and closed toe shoes are required *clothes & shoes will be dirty & wet on day 2 & 4 *participants need to be able to climb and crawl *participants need to be able to follow instruction
